These freeze dried beet slices have a delicious, slightly sweet earthy flavour, have a satisfying crunch factor.
Freeze drying vegetables preserves approximately 97% of their nutritional value!
We love to pair them with our Southwestern Dip or with a spicy dill & jalapeño dip for a guilt and saturated fat free snack. Toss them in salads for crunch, add to smoothies for their health benefits and colour, crush them and add to soups, Etc. The possibilities are endless!
Beetroot provides vitamin A, calcium, vitamin C, iron, and it’s a rich source of folate and manganese. It also contains thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin B-6, choline, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper and selenium.
INGREDIENTS you ask? Beets. That’s it! (However, down the road we may offer a balsamic and black pepper seasoned variety!)
PROCESS? We wash, peeled, and slice the beets and then we flash freeze them before putting them through the freeze drying process which takes between 30-40 hours.
